Independent Educational Evaluations  & Private Assessments

Comprehensive, independent occupational therapy evaluations that help teams better understand a student's strengths, needs, and access to learning. 

Stride OT provides independent occupational therapy evaluations for students with concerns related to school participation and performance. Evaluations are individualized to the referral question and integrate standardized assessment, functional observation, educational history, and input from the student's team.

An evaluation may include:

• Review of educational records, previous evaluations, and relevant history
• Standardized and functional occupational therapy assessment
• Assessment of fine-motor, visual-motor, handwriting, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional school participation, as appropriate
• Classroom observation when indicated
• Parent, teacher, and student input
• Identification of strengths, barriers, and factors affecting educational access
• Clear, practical recommendations for supporting participation and independence
• Comprehensive written report
• Participation in an IEP meeting to review findings and recommendations

Stride OT accepts referrals from both families and school districts for independent occupational therapy evaluations.
