Body Doubling? What is that?
Basically, body doubling is working in parallel with other people. This strategy is getting increased attention, as it appears to help some people with ADHD stay on task.
How might one try to body doubling: This strategy can be used in person or virtually. Basically, at an agreed-upon time, people get together and work on their projects. They do not work together, but rather, work side-by-side. Many people report increased productivity, when working in tandem with others. This can be done in a library, at someone's home, or at a coffee shop. Some people are successful body doubling over Zoom or FaceTime.
Some ground rules may be helpful. For instance, people can decide when to take a break and talk, or whether to play music. This is all a personal preference, so it can be personalized based on one's preferences.
